Building36 is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead its engineering team and own projects from design through deployment across smart home technology, video analytics, large-scale data processing, and related domains. The role involves mentoring and collaborating with junior engineers, developing full-stack software, researching technologies, and working with IoT, SaaS, C#, .NET, SQL Server, Kafka, Ember.js, and native iOS and Android applications. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, at least 10 years of professional software development experience, leadership or mentoring experience, object-oriented programming expertise, database design experience, networking knowledge, and hardware or device development experience is a major plus. The role is office-based four days per week and offers a base salary of $141,500 to $187,720 USD, with medical, HSA, and 401(k) benefits.
