Canopy, Inc. is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to serve as a senior technical leader across multiple product and platform initiatives in the New York City Tri-State Area. The role owns scalable full-stack architecture, distributed systems, APIs, cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, observability, testing, security, deployment reliability, and engineering standards, while influencing teams and mentoring engineers without formal management authority. The position requires 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant production-system and Staff Engineer experience, along with expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Vue.js, Node.js, distributed systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure. The base salary is $200,000–$230,000 per year.
