Description

Found is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for its Platform team to architect scalable backend systems, develop developer tooling, improve observability and incident response, maintain technical quality, and mentor engineers. The role requires 8+ years of backend experience in a public cloud, production-scaling expertise, deep knowledge of request flows and reliability, and experience managing technical debt. The anticipated salary is $210,000–$278,000 USD or CAD, with offices in San Francisco and New York City and fully remote work supported for employees outside those cities.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of backend technology experience in a public cloud environment
Experience scaling and troubleshooting production systems or services and leading cross-functional projects
Experience understanding end-to-end request flows and system reliability across the stack
Experience managing technical debt and improving engineering quality across teams
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with OpenTelemetry, StatsD, or Prometheus
Working knowledge of PCI and SOC2 compliance frameworks
Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
Familiarity with Sidekiq, Redis, or other async job processing systems
Experience with mobile app infrastructure using Capacitor or React Native
Experience building internal tooling or bots
Interest in financial services, accounting, or self-employment
