Intuitive is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead the architecture and implementation of mixed-criticality embedded virtualization for a next-generation surgical robotic system. The role owns virtualization safety, partitioning, hypervisor configuration, determinism, device virtualization, failure analysis, and platform observability, while also leading cross-functional projects and mentoring engineers. Candidates need extensive embedded software, Linux/QNX, FPGA, PCIe, and C++/Python experience, along with a relevant engineering degree and 12 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or fewer years with a master's or PhD.
