Description

OpenMined is hiring a Senior / Staff Software Engineer to lead its Network Sourced AI squad as a team lead and hands-on technical leader. The role owns the squad’s architecture, production readiness, engineering standards, roadmap execution, delivery, and team output, while managing 2–4 engineers. It requires 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, strong Python proficiency, and experience with distributed systems, API design, and RAG or information retrieval. The position is fully remote, requires availability within ET ±1, and offers United States healthcare benefits.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
Experience building, shipping, and operating production systems at meaningful scale

Preferred Qualifications: Vue 3, TypeScript, Rust, Tauri, or cross-platform desktop application experience
Networking or peer-to-peer application experience
