Description

Rebuy is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to own Shopify checkout and post-purchase features, experimentation reporting, REST APIs, and production reliability across PHP, TypeScript, React, BigQuery, MySQL, and other systems. The role requires 8+ years of production web-application experience, strong troubleshooting and AI coding-tool fluency, hands-on QA, secure coding knowledge, and ownership of revenue-critical systems. It is fully remote within the United States and Canada, with a stated U.S. annual compensation range of $175,000 to $225,000.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Education in computer science, engineering, or a similar field, or equivalent experience
Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years building production web applications
Experience owning a revenue-critical, customer-facing system in production
Hands-on BigQuery experience on Google Cloud or another columnar warehouse
Experience writing analytical queries and designing and migrating MySQL schemas
Experience with unit and end-to-end testing and independent quality assurance
Experience with secure coding and OWASP Top 10 fundamentals
Experience orchestrating and building platform-wide, componentized systems
Preferred Qualifications: Shopify app development, especially Checkout Extensibility, post-purchase extensions, or Admin and Storefront GraphQL APIs
Experience in another tightly constrained runtime such as React Native
