Description
Shepherd is hiring a Software Engineer to join its first engineering team in New York City and work closely with underwriters and actuaries. The role owns large areas of the company’s product experience across data collection, automated underwriting, and policy administration; leads technical decisions; works across frontend, backend, product, design, and architecture; and mentors other engineers. The position requires at least 8 years of experience, preferably as a full-stack engineer, along with insurance or InsurTech/actuarial experience and JavaScript/TypeScript experience. The technology stack includes React, Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, Apollo, Node.js, Postgres, and Redis.
