Description
Toku is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to work as a senior technical individual contributor in its Rotterdam engineering team. The role focuses on designing and operating scalable backend systems, modernising legacy architecture, evolving distributed and event-driven platforms, and improving APIs, cloud infrastructure, observability, and engineering practices. The engineer will use Go and Node.js/TypeScript, lead through technical expertise rather than formal management, mentor other engineers, and influence architecture across multiple squads. The position is based in the Netherlands on a hybrid arrangement, with EU relocation considered.
