Vagaro is hiring a Staff Engineer to serve as a technical leader and systems architect for its backend platform. The role sets architectural direction for distributed, cloud-native systems on Microsoft Azure, designs high-throughput RESTful and event-driven APIs, optimizes SQL and NoSQL data systems, establishes secure authentication and authorization practices, and leads observability, migrations, modernization, and cross-team technical initiatives. The position is onsite in Pleasanton, California, Monday through Friday, with a base annual salary of $179,000 to $218,000 and an annual bonus of up to 10%.
