Warner Bros. Discovery’s CNN Growth team is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to design, build, and evolve core systems supporting audience growth, engagement, and monetization across CNN’s digital platforms. The role is a senior individual-contributor position with hands-on technical leadership, including architectural guidance, scalable system design, code quality, performance and security improvements, vendor integration, and mentorship. The technology stack centers on JavaScript, Node, Python, Svelte, AWS, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability tools. Candidates need 8–10 years of professional experience, strong JavaScript and Node expertise, and experience with scalable APIs, web applications, cloud services, and cross-functional collaboration.
