Sprout Social is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, Backend to lead the access domain and build scalable, distributed backend services at internet scale. The role involves maintaining robust technical foundations, leading product and technical roadmaps, improving engineering processes, mentoring engineers, and owning access-platform solutions, monitoring, alerting, technical debt, and cross-organizational architecture. The position requires 7+ years of production software experience, 5+ years with object-oriented JVM languages, 5+ years with functional programming, and 3+ years leading engineering initiatives; preferred qualifications include distributed backend services, SQL databases, and Polish proficiency. The role offers a remote-first model with Poland-based or remote-from-Poland options, and compensation of 29,500 PLN–36,800 PLN net monthly, with a broader base-pay range of 29,500 PLN–44,200 PLN monthly.
