Toast is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for its Android Systems team to design and implement Kotlin backend services for device management, lead software services and applications, collaborate with product, hardware, QA, and other engineering teams, create technical designs and estimates, optimize performance, and establish software quality and testing practices. The role requires 8+ years of backend experience, proficiency in Java or Kotlin, microservices and containerization experience, React frontend experience, and strong technical leadership and communication skills. The position offers a hybrid work model and base salary of $151,000–$309,000 USD depending on geographic pay zone.
