Description
General Motors is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for Boot Software, also referred to as NATS, to define and evolve boot software for new SDV controller architectures. The role owns end-to-end boot software design and integration, leads controller bring-up and flash-programming activities, performs deep-dive troubleshooting, develops secure-boot and OTA/recovery strategies, and provides technical leadership and mentorship. It requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field, typically 10+ years of embedded software experience, and strong expertise in automotive bootloaders, low-level integration, debugging, and safety and cybersecurity considerations. The position is hybrid, with at least three reports per week at a specific location, and offers relocation benefits.
