Scribd, Inc. is hiring a Senior Engineer for its Content Library and Core Infrastructure team. The role owns Rust services for transactional storage, transform coordination, and low-latency retrieval at hundreds of billions of objects, while also developing the Python userland, leading cross-functional projects, improving performance and cost-efficiency, strengthening data governance, and mentoring engineers. The position requires 10+ years of backend, distributed, or data-intensive systems experience, production Rust and Python, storage and database expertise, AWS and Terraform experience, and technical leadership.
