Description
Checkr is hiring a Staff Software Engineer on its People Data team to architect, build, and operate a centralized data platform serving identity and people records across its products. The role owns core services, data pipelines, architecture, distributed systems, and production reliability while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with product and engineering stakeholders. It requires 10+ years of experience building scalable data platforms, expertise in PySpark, Python, SQL, data modeling, databases, Kafka, Spark, Iceberg, data lakes, and AWS, plus knowledge of security and data privacy. The role is based in Denver, San Francisco, Nashville, or Santiago, with an expectation of working from the office at least three days per week.
