Verkada is hiring a Security Engineer to build distributed security and privacy infrastructure, including encryption services, data-at-rest and data-in-use protection, and scalable systems for high-traffic environments. The role involves mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with engineering and product teams, supporting the CISO and security program, and contributing to security conferences and open-source projects. Candidates need a computer science degree or equivalent, at least eight years of software or security engineering experience, cloud experience, strong coding and communication skills, and onsite availability five days per week. The position offers visa sponsorship and an estimated annual on-target earnings range of $200,000 to $300,000 USD.
