Description
Northbeam is hiring a Staff Engineer to own the architecture and technical direction of its ingestion and integration platform. The role sets standards for onboarding data sources, event-driven and batch processing, observability, data freshness, failure handling, API-based ETL, and platform reliability, while leading design across engineering, infrastructure, and product teams and mentoring engineers. Candidates need at least 8 years of software or data engineering experience, strong Python and SQL skills, cloud data warehouse experience, API ETL expertise, and production experience with orchestration and containerized infrastructure. The position is remote-friendly, with offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles, and offers a base salary of $190,000–$220,000 USD plus equity, healthcare, retirement, paid time off, holidays, parental leave, and a work-from-home stipend.
