Snowflake is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Database Engineering team to contribute to an elastic, large-scale, high-performance data processing system. The role involves designing query optimization and distributed data processing algorithms, developing and supporting a petabyte-scale cloud database, implementing service architecture, resolving performance and scalability bottlenecks, owning end-to-end project delivery, operating production services, building customer-facing tools, and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates should have at least six years of commercial or open-source software experience, strong C/C++ and/or Java fluency, systems programming and distributed systems expertise, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
