Google is hiring a Core Software Engineer to provide technical leadership on high-impact projects, influence and coach a distributed engineering team, align goals and timelines across teams, and design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions. The role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of software development experience, 5 years testing and launching software products, 3 years of software design and architecture experience, and experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces and building generative AI agents. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree or PhD, technical leadership experience, Python programming, automation and tools development, and strong communication and collaboration skills. The position offers a Germany salary of €156,000–€159,000 plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
