Description

Alluxio is hiring a Staff Software Engineer - Distributed Systems to lead and evolve its distributed data services platform. The role focuses on scaling systems across thousands of nodes, data durability and high availability, memory and data structure efficiency, thread concurrency, locking optimizations, caching policies, and product architecture. The engineer will also provide technical direction, collaborate with product management, and lead team members from concept through completion.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Required Previous Experiences: At least 1-2 years in a technical leadership role

Experience with distributed and parallel systems, distributed storage systems, large-scale software architecture, or security software development
Preferred Qualifications: Master's or PhD degree, further education, or equivalent practical experience in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field

Experience contributing to or maintaining an open source project
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative programming environment
