Alarm.com is hiring a Staff Embedded Software Engineer for its Device Engineering team to define and build embedded software for security panels, networking gateways, and video cameras. The role owns product-level architecture and technical direction, leads cross-functional delivery, develops and debugs Linux-based embedded software, integrates connectivity and sensor stacks, and mentors engineers. Candidates need a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least 8 years of embedded software development, strong C/C++ and Linux build-toolchain expertise, and experience with cellular, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and IoT protocols. The position requires working from the office four days per week and offers a base salary of $185,000–$195,000 CAD.
