Description
Google is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for its Emerging Accelerator System team to onboard emerging co-accelerators into Google's ML accelerator families and develop low-level software and hardware interaction systems. The role involves designing firmware, kernel drivers, BMC and host software, testing, telemetry, dashboards, and debugging complex system-level challenges, while providing technical leadership across cross-functional teams. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of software development experience, and experience with embedded operating systems, C/C++, computer architecture, and software design and architecture. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees, extensive data structures and algorithms experience, technical leadership, complex matrixed-organization experience, HPC server solutions, and hardware-accelerated compute pipeline integration.
