Canva is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to own the technical direction of its design export system, including Chromium-based rendering, PDF accessibility and compliance, reliability, performance, and distributed systems at over 50 million weekly downloads. The role partners with an existing Staff Engineer, leads debugging and architecture decisions, mentors engineers, and works across the Editing Platform group. Candidates should have deep Chromium or browser-rendering experience, strong C++ and Java backend skills, and experience owning technical domains end to end.
