Ouster is hiring a Staff Software Engineer in Test to architect and own the automated test framework for its lidar sensor software interface. The role involves building Python-based test frameworks, writing functional, performance, stability, and regression tests, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, developing hardware-in-the-loop setups, analyzing test results, and collaborating with software, firmware, and systems engineering teams. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least five years of software development or test automation experience, strong Python skills, and experience with automated testing, CI/CD, network protocols, and AI/LLM tools. The base salary is $150,000–$190,000, with possible equity and benefits.
