BuildOps is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to architect, build, and optimize the integration and data platform that connects external systems and supports AI agents. The role leads technical decisions across APIs, databases, observability, testing, and infrastructure; mentors engineers; and influences multiple engineering groups. It requires 10+ years of software engineering experience, deep modern JavaScript and TypeScript expertise, and production experience with Node.js, GraphQL, REST, PostgreSQL, Temporal, event-driven systems, and cloud infrastructure. The position offers a $197,000–$262,000 base salary plus bonus and equity, with hybrid work in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, or Raleigh.
