Kong is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for its Konnect team to architect and lead development of Kong Identity, a multi-tenant identity platform. The role covers token management, claims engineering, global identity infrastructure, rate limiting, fraud prevention, federation, developer experience, client management, plugin architecture, compliance, observability, and mentorship of engineering teams. Candidates need 7+ years of production identity-platform experience, deep OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect expertise, cryptographic and high-performance systems knowledge, and experience with enterprise identity integrations, security, and compliance.
