Agoda is hiring a Fintech Backend Engineer in Bangkok, Thailand, to develop and maintain scalable backend systems, data pipelines, and storage solutions for financial technology products. The role covers the full product lifecycle, including requirements, coding standards, agile development, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, performance optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. Candidates need 8+ years of experience with Java, Kotlin, or Scala, big data technologies, SQL, data architecture, and operational excellence; experience with Spark, ETL, Kafka, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and fintech or payments domains is preferred.
