Google is hiring a Software Engineer, Machine Learning for Labs, a role focused on incubating early-stage products and technologies. The engineer will provide technical leadership, influence and coach distributed engineering teams, manage project priorities and deliverables, and design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of C++, Java, or Python programming experience, 5 years of software product testing and launch experience, and 3 years of software design and architecture experience. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree or PhD, 8 years of data structures and algorithms experience, technical leadership experience, and cross-functional project experience. Compensation is $207,000–$300,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
