Chainguard is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead the architecture, scale, reliability, and production operation of its shared malware-scanning platform. The role owns detection-quality pipelines, scanner orchestration, verdict storage, APIs, threat-analysis systems, customer-facing services, policy management, and incident response. It is a backend and production-infrastructure role in software supply-chain security, requiring multiple years of production systems experience, strong Go or backend systems experience, and experience with high-throughput event-driven pipelines. The position offers a base salary of $170,000–$231,000 USD and a flexible, remote-first culture.
