Snap Inc. is hiring a Staff Engineer / Tech Lead to set the technical direction and architecture for its omnichannel notification platform. The role owns highly available, scalable backend services, shared APIs and data models, notification orchestration, channel selection, timing, budgeting, ranking, targeting, experimentation, and measurement, while leading cross-functional initiatives, incident response, engineering practices, and mentorship. Candidates need significant backend or distributed-systems experience, strong system-design and observability skills, and at least 9 years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience or equivalent advanced-degree experience. The role follows a default-together policy requiring office attendance at least four days per week, with base salaries ranging from $195,000 to $343,000 annually depending on the pay zone, plus equity.
