PayPal is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for its Platform Enablement and Quality team within AITech. The role leads the design and implementation of scalable platform frameworks, developer tooling, and quality engineering solutions; coordinates engineers and technical decisions; and represents PayPal with partners, customers, and industry organizations. The position requires at least five years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination, with additional qualifications including distributed platform services, quality engineering, CI/CD, Java/Python/Go, containerization, cloud platforms, observability, and distributed systems. The role is based in San Jose, California, with a base salary of $176,500 to $262,350 annually and a balanced hybrid work model.
