Description

Maven AGI is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for its Platform team to provide senior technical leadership while architecting, building, and scaling production-grade agentic AI systems. The role involves backend development, cross-functional requirements definition, high-impact platform initiatives, mentoring engineers, and designing resilient services. Candidates need 8+ years of software engineering experience, TypeScript/Node and Java backend expertise, architectural leadership, and relevant telephony experience such as SIP or Twilio; Spring Boot, LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic systems are advantageous. The position is based in Boston or San Francisco and follows a hybrid office model.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-quality systems.

Experience setting technical direction, making architecture decisions, and influencing engineering best practices.
Relevant telephony or communication-platform experience, such as SIP or Twilio, or the ability to quickly learn the domain.
Preferred Qualifications: Spring Boot experience.
