Description
Gusto is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for its Pricing & Packaging team to lead the architecture and delivery of internal Commerce Platform solutions that manage products, bundles, subscriptions, pricing, promotions, and entitlements. The role owns complex, ambiguous projects, partners with product and engineering teams, mentors engineers, and applies AI tools to improve development velocity. Candidates should have at least 8 years of software development experience, strong backend platform and distributed systems expertise, and experience with large-scale refactors and production reliability. The role is based in Denver, San Francisco, or New York City, with hybrid office expectations of approximately 2–3 days per week.
