Customer.io is hiring a Staff Product Engineer to own ambiguous, cross-team problems from framing through launch and iteration. The role combines product ownership with end-to-end engineering leadership across backend, architecture, performance, reliability, maintainability, and AI workflows, while influencing peers, improving engineering practices, and participating in on-call rotation. Candidates should have a track record of leading complex work, strong backend engineering experience, strong product and technical judgment, and experience using metrics, experimentation, and observability. The starting salary is $200,000-$280,000 USD, with a 10% annual bonus target and comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance coverage.
