Vanta is hiring a Staff Engineer to own the architectural foundation and multi-quarter delivery of its enterprise organization model, including hierarchical product lines and business units, isolated data access, cross-cutting audit workflows, scoped approvals, and EU and GovCloud data residency support. The role involves designing platform abstractions, retrofitting a live production system toward a multi-tenant architecture, shipping customer value incrementally, coordinating across engineering squads, and setting technical standards. Candidates need 10+ years of deep backend engineering experience, a record of leading complex technical initiatives, and expertise in enterprise architectural patterns; data residency or GovCloud exposure is a plus.
