Description

Command|Link is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to own the reliability and architecture of its Command|Alert signal-processing pipeline. The role covers alert evaluation, Kafka delivery, idempotency, SLO/SLI definition, error-budgeting, incident response, observability, automation, capacity planning, and architecture for rule-based, ML, and correlation-based alerting. It requires production-ownership experience, high-reliability alerting systems, Kafka, telemetry, and mastery of Go or Python, with a 100% remote arrangement.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Background operating as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps engineer, or in a similar production-ownership role
Experience designing, building, or operating high-reliability alerting or notification systems in production
Strong Kafka experience building systems with webhook reliability, idempotency, and delivery guarantees under load
Experience building observability and automation for high-volume production systems
Experience with telemetry and protocol data and network and system topology analysis
Mastery of Go or Python, container orchestration, multi-cloud environments, and organizational architecture
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chaos engineering or fault-injection testing
Familiarity with SLO and error-budget tooling and practice
Experience with Temporal or a comparable workflow orchestration platform
Experience operating in a multi-tenant, cloud-native environment with secrets management and TLS at scale
