Anthropic is hiring a Safeguards Software Engineer to build and operate the data platform supporting AI safety and oversight. The role covers ingestion and processing pipelines, data stores, schemas, data governance, access controls, privacy-preserving handling of sensitive data, portability across AWS, GCP, and Azure, and internal tooling for analysts, investigators, and researchers. The position requires Python and SQL proficiency, production data-pipeline experience, and a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, experience, and training. The annual salary range is $320,000 to $485,000 USD, with a hybrid policy requiring office presence at least 25% of the time and visa sponsorship available for some candidates.
