Description
Google is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for its Server RAS team to bridge hardware and software across the company's compute fleet. The role focuses on hardware/software co-design, CPU, memory, and high-speed I/O error handling, fault-tolerant software frameworks, telemetry pipelines, and automated fault isolation. The engineer will lead reliability, availability, and serviceability initiatives, partner with hardware and infrastructure teams, and guide complex system design and engineering teams. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and extensive experience in C++, SQL, embedded systems, distributed infrastructure, and software architecture.
