Google is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer for Vertex AI Online Prediction and Large Language Models, Gen AI. The role owns reliability, performance, capacity, and scalability for critical Vertex AI services, develops system architecture, resolves outages, and collaborates with development teams to improve reliability and feature velocity. It requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of software development experience, and experience in large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, machine learning infrastructure, and Tier 1 on-call support. Compensation is $207,000–$300,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
