Description
Google is hiring a Software Engineer, Distributed Systems for its Distributed Cloud (GDC) air-gapped Virtual Machine team. The role provides technical leadership on high-impact projects, coaches a distributed engineering team, aligns cross-team goals and timelines, and designs, develops, tests, deploys, maintains, and enhances large-scale software solutions. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of experience leading projects and designing distributed systems, and 2 years of Kubernetes experience. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees, extensive data structures and algorithms experience, technical leadership experience, complex matrixed-organization experience, and Linux Kernel experience. Compensation is $207,000–$300,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
