Anthropic is hiring a Cloud Inference Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate backend services and infrastructure for Claude across AWS, GCP, Azure, and other cloud providers. The role focuses on cross-platform inference execution, API integration, capacity management, autoscaling, workload routing, CI/CD automation, observability, and reliability at massive scale. Candidates need significant software engineering experience with large-scale distributed systems, cloud-platform experience, and exposure to Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, or container orchestration; Python or Rust proficiency is preferred.
