Description
Lightmatter is hiring a Sr. Staff Engineer, Photonic Link Co-Design to own end-to-end simulation, co-design, and laboratory verification of photonic-electronic links for its Passage™ silicon photonic transceivers. The role develops multi-physics link models, performs PVT and Monte Carlo analyses, co-optimizes transmitter and receiver front-ends, closes simulation against silicon measurements, and drives link architecture and specification decisions. Candidates need a relevant PhD or MS plus extensive industry experience, expertise in silicon photonics and high-speed electro-optic systems, proficiency with optical and analog simulation tools, Python scripting, and high-speed laboratory characterization skills. The role offers a base salary of $180,000–$260,000 USD, equity, and a flexible hybrid workplace model.
