Impulse is hiring a Staff Systems Electrical Engineer in San Francisco to own the electrical architecture across power stages, battery integration, control electronics, sensing, and interfaces to firmware, thermal, and mechanical systems. The role covers system partitioning, requirement flowdown, design reviews, reliability and risk, EMC and product safety certification, in-house hardware capability, partner engineering, and mentorship. Candidates need 10+ years of relevant experience or 8+ years with an MS, including volume-shipped products and full EVT/DVT/PVT ownership, along with analog and mixed-signal, embedded software, cost-down, and compliance expertise. The position is primarily in-office with potential for 1–2 days per week remote and offers $170,000–$185,000 plus equity and health, vision, and dental benefits.
