Blacksmith is hiring a Staff Systems Engineer to set technical direction for its core infrastructure, including virtualization, distributed storage, kernel and filesystem technologies, and production reliability. The role owns architecture and technical roadmaps, leads complex systems initiatives, mentors senior engineers, and operates as a hands-on technical leader. Compensation includes medical, vision, and dental insurance, base salary plus equity, a 401K match, unlimited PTO, an annual offsite, early-exercise stock options, and 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave in the United States.
