Blacksmith is hiring a Staff Systems Engineer to set technical direction for its core infrastructure, including virtualization, distributed storage, kernel and filesystem technologies, and production reliability. The role owns architecture and technical roadmaps, leads complex systems initiatives, mentors senior engineers, and operates as a hands-on technical leader. Candidates should have deep virtualization experience, distributed storage expertise, Linux kernel and filesystem knowledge, and a track record of leading through influence.
