Description

Atoms is hiring a Staff Systems Integration Engineer to own the full lifecycle of hardware-in-the-loop system benches that validate its autonomy stack off-vehicle. The role covers bench architecture and physical build, vehicle and network simulation, sensor-data replay, test automation and continuous integration, fault injection, tooling sourcing, debugging, and engineering documentation. It is an onsite, full-time position in San Francisco with a base salary of $220,000-$280,000 per year and medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; a master's degree is accepted with 6+ years of experience.
Required Previous Experiences: Designing and building hardware-in-the-loop or system-level test benches from architecture through commissioning.
Hands-on experience with vehicle networks, restbus simulation, network databases, and bus analysis.
Developing real-time plant, actuator, sensor, and power models for real-time hardware.
Building test automation frameworks and integrating them into continuous integration pipelines.
Experience with robotics middleware, logging, and replay tooling.
Fault injection and off-nominal testing.
Delivering first-of-kind work in concurrently developing vehicle and software environments.
