Description

Anduril Industries is hiring a Staff Technical Program & Manufacturing Engineer in Taiwan to lead supplier engagements and the development and delivery of advanced augmented-reality and virtual-reality optical systems. The role combines program management, optical-system build management, technical guidance, risk and stakeholder management, and manufacturing process improvement, with primary on-site work at supplier and contract-manufacturing facilities and domestic and international travel of 25–50%. Candidates need a relevant engineering or optics degree, at least eight years of technical program management and manufacturing experience, optics and optical-manufacturing expertise, and clearance eligibility.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Optics, Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of technical program management and manufacturing process development experience delivering hardware products, or equivalent engineering experience with demonstrated program leadership
Experience taking a module or system from concept through qualification and into mass production
Direct experience leading contract manufacturers and component suppliers, including on-site build support
Experience owning hardware program schedules, including tooling lead times, long-lead components, and qualification campaigns
Experience with NPI processes, phase-gate reviews, BOM and ECO management, and build readiness mechanisms
Preferred Qualifications: Master of Science in an engineering discipline or an MBA
Experience with optical components, ophthalmic or prescription lenses, optical coatings, and optical metrology
Prior program leadership on a head-worn display, camera module, or other optics-intensive consumer or defense product
Working knowledge of optical manufacturing processes, including injection molding, lamination, die cutting, CNC machining, coating, and active alignment
Experience with capacity modeling, discrete-event simulation, or manufacturing analytics platforms
PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification
Experience standing up a new production line or qualifying a new supplier from scratch
