Description

Wayve is hiring a Staff Validation Engineer for its AI Validation Division to lead the development, execution, and reporting of validation for L2+ driving features. The role involves creating validation strategies, metrics, test coverage, acceptance criteria, and test suites; analyzing on-road and simulated driving results; and coordinating with Product, Safety, Architecture, Data, Simulation, and Autonomy teams. The position is full-time and hybrid in Sunnyvale, California, with an estimated salary of $276,100-$303,000 plus equity.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: Hands-on experience evaluating and validating complex engineered systems
Experience working in autonomy for driving, robotics, or related products
Experience with simulated and physical testing environments for autonomous systems
Experience analyzing and reporting validation results
Experience driving validation concepts from ideation to implementation
Preferred Qualifications: Background in machine learning, computer vision, motion planning, or data science
Experience with SOTIF and safety validation
Experience evaluating learned or adaptive behaviors
Experience with modern AI tools and agentic workflows
Experience analyzing large datasets with SQL
Deep understanding of driving behavior and performance measurement
