Description

The Bioinformatics Engineer - LIMS will develop, configure, maintain, and optimize cloud-based StarLIMS functionality for clinical diagnostic NGS data, including frontend and backend automation, StarLIMS scripting, HTML5, Jscript, .NET, Python, SQL, Crystal Reports, and QBE. The role also covers requirements gathering, Jira issue management, documentation, troubleshooting, testing, user support, and training. It is a salaried, 100% remote position with up to 10% travel, requiring a US location and availability during Eastern and Central US business hours.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or another STEM-related discipline
Required Previous Experiences: At least 3 years of experience developing custom code with SQL, Python, and JavaScript
At least 3 years of experience with relational databases and reporting tools, including Crystal Reports
Experience with system integration using REST APIs, web services, and middleware
Professional experience with a bug or issue tracking system
Preferred Qualifications: Experience configuring and customizing an enterprise LIMS system, preferably StarLIMS
Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, data management, and compliance standards
Experience with laboratory testing and scientific equipment
IT-related certificates
