Description
The Startup Manager leads safety, quality, schedule, commissioning, staffing, material control, and field-based procurement activities for startup and commissioning on construction projects. The role plans and directs pre-commissioning testing, develops startup schedules, coordinates startup staff, oversees equipment and system checkout, and reviews design changes. Experience requirements are tiered by years of demonstrated experience in turnover, pre-commissioning, commissioning, or startup within the construction industry, with Step I requiring 5–10 years, Step II requiring 10–15 years, and Step Sr. requiring 15+ years.
